Yep, feedback is huge. I'll never buy anything from someone who's feedback isn't near perfect. Not even worth the headache or hassle. Definately focus on that first!

Feedback is very important as well as a professionally design page. I will not buy something from someone who it looks like it took them 1 min to list the item. You can build a nice template and just re-use it for each item.

Its a pain in the ass selling on eBay anymore... I run three different eBay portals and as each year passes it gets harder and harder to make money selling on there. The key is supply... if you have a decent supply of items that you can buy with room to markup on eBay then you will be successful. If you expect to buy in bulk from an eBay seller and then resell... you aren't going to have much luck.

Ebay is more like Amazon now, it's still great for buyers but gotten a lot worse for sellers (my opinion.) I found ebid.com and I think that's probably the best alternative and much less expensive.

Trading online needs constant followup on customers. In case of eBay they seem to have introduced new regulations for sellers in order to ensure that buyers are fully satisfied. This seems to be the case after some incidents involving problems with some sellers. And this new reputation assesment system seems to have made it difficult for sellers as the post above seems to be showing, but it is about service quality.

If this is becoming a big deal then you can choose others to trade on, like Bonzale.

I have tried several times selling on eBay, I have not made much money doing it and have instead focused on other things. Im sure if you have done a little bit of research you know you will need to find a niche in the market to fill. That being said it is extremely difficult to find a market that isn't already filled on eBay. What ebookentrepreneur said is very important to. There are many sites you can use to create professional looking listing on eBay, I used to use Auctiva when it was free, now there is a monthly subscription cost but it is well worth it if you will be listing a lot of items. I have found that selling on eBay is so hard because its so easy for the customer to price shop and their is almost always someone whose prices are below yours. Unless you can find an unfilled market on eBay you will probably end up spending a lot of time and money for very little return.

With the fee's on ebay now its almost impossible to make money, and it is impossible if you are going to dropship items.
You cant make much money with the fee's and be competitive.

I would say try craigslist but that is so full of work from home scammers no one will even look at what you have to sell.

I feel your best bet is to get your own ecommerce site, try magento commerce, oscommerce, or cre loaded, zen cart.

    good luck m8
