I have been knocked for being sarcastic previously but this one is just silly

How many times have people made websites about the million dollars they will make in X days or X months. I have seen three in the past month on two of these forums...

It's good you're enterprising. But yes, it is crazy, and no, it's not an idea.

(My friend came to me the other day with an 'idea' - to sell electronics. Nice 'idea'.. hehe :P)

The secret is not coming with new ideas all the time, just make old once much better. Like google, windows, youtube, myspace, woot they were not the first but they made it better if your friend have an idea for a unique electronic store I wouldn’t make fun of him. He might be on the right track.

Idea for the publicity. Try to have everyone you know blog about it, link to it just like the 2000 bloggers pictures did. Try adding something, referral links or $1 for a review of your site. And then you write a review on that persons site. These are just some ideas. If I think of anything else I will try to help you out.

Thank you very much for that, I had so much stuff to do I didn’t even think to do these simple things I have already added a video to youtube and I am emailing my friends asking them to put me in their blog.

I think you need to definatley get some press on this and put in the part of losing your job and your girlfriend. Also, I know he is not going to make a million dollars but he can make thousands for sure.

You are going to need much more than exposure in a few blogs; to really make this work you need to get mass media attention - some large local papers and radio stations would be a start, but national exposure would do wonders for you.
