    A conundrum for ol' skool web ppl

    Anyone remember Geocities? I made a site in 1997 with Geocities. The original URL was geocities(dot)com/sunsetstrip/studio/1436

    When Yahoo (bought out?) Geocities, they did away with the old way of organizing Geocities. In order to access the site, I had to get a yahoo user id, and my new webpage address became geocities(dot)com/mynewuserid.

    Seems silly, but I'm kinda sentimental, and really would like access to this site again. These days, I can't access the alternative email address I gave to Yahoo. I'm trying to get into my old yahoo account, but it's nearly impossible. Any suggestions from someone who is familiar with Yahoo?

    PS anyone think I'll actually get this data back, or is it gone forever? Thank you!!
