    7 ways to be a forum Maven

    1. Introduce :

    Most forums have a page dedicated solely for newbies, to come and introduce themselves there. Most people when joining forums miss this important part and go straight shead and start spamming people with their business’. This makes you appear like a spammer even though you aren’t one. This is an example of a proper introduction;

    Subject: Designer from Coventry says HI!
    Body: Hi all, I found this forum via ( your source) and I was eager to join to learn and share with others here what I know and don’t know. Looking forward to knowing you all.
    Martin

    As simple as that! Mind you, you have already made known what business you are in without sounding spammy but as a genuine individual.

    2. Be frequent

    Another thing to do is to be a frequent visitor. Try your best to visit the forum and read new posts, and comment on them. If you are too lazy to research and give an insightful comment you may instead welcome new members to the post. This not only build your amount of posts, it also helps you meet new people and learn new things.

    I have to agree. I am new to this forum but not to others and to Internet Marketing. And I have to say that I have come across a lot of newbies that practice this. Sometimes I wonder if they do so on purpose or if they just completely ignore reading the rules, and if the do read them if they just do not care... hhhhmmm, I guess we might never know!

    Thanks a lot for the tips. To become a prominent and helpful forum member, frequency will always be the key since you're already exploring a lot of concepts and getting to talk with more and more members and be able to help them. That's how the activity of a forum works - the more people participating to either ask or answer questions, the greater possibilities will the great ideas, gurus be revealed.
