Unhappy 18 and still in high school, but got an entrepreneurial mindset.

I wouldn't call myself an entrepreneur just yet, but i do have a mindset of one and i do wish to create a business one day, online or offline.
Still in high school and my interests are business and web designing.
I know combing those two can make some really nice profit.
Ive seen people who are successful in those fields and made me kind of jealous.
the kind of jealous where i just wish i know where to start. but thats slowly going away.

(current plan)Right now, im continuing to learn web design/programming and learn marketing on the side as a bonus when i get good at making websites. that's going to be my primary money maker. until i start a small business.

    >If i can get some opinions that would be great.
or if any ones else is at the same point in life as me<

I've been there, stay in school and go to college. That's the best piece of advice.

I don't really understand your plan, you want to make websites? Or you want a marketing company?

Don't take this the wrong way but use better grammar as well, I know it's the internet and we're not always perfectionist online but you never know who you may end up typing to.

That's interesting, but remember when ever you start up your business, first research on that business and look after the market status for this business. You can also consultant a business advisor to help your more queries with this.

GamerGripz is older than his years. Finding a mentor to help you is paramount. Having an idea is one thing, taking that idea and shaping it into a business is another.

Keep working your idea through. Identify your weaknesses and work on turning them into strengths. I love the fact that you are on the track to entrepreneurship early. Check out Sokanu - A Place To Find Your Passion In Life. Good group to hook into.

Good point about the mentor it is key to have someone with experience guide you.

One big person that I have to help me out is my school entrepreneurship teacher. Hes not really a teacher, but more of a businessman. He has been doing business his whole life and his wife owns 3 companies and he is planning a few startups himself so he has been great help in giving me advice, contacts, help with my business plan, and all that good stuff. If you are not in an entrepreneurship class at your school i recommend you take it and maybe your teacher will be as qualified as mine to help you out. If not maybe you have family or friends that have started up a business.

Web design/development business is HIGHLY competitive, thanks to the global markets. Think about a larger plan for developing a site (like the next Facebook, Google, etc.) vs. just web development. Try to come up with something unique -- that ppl will want to share with others.

First off don't feel jealous. It only breeds more frustration.

It's great that you've got the mindset but what you really need is a vision.

I tried a lot of businesses and jobs without having a vision and they all frustrated me because they weren't really what I wanted. It took me 4 years to find it. But I knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Maybe that will be the way you do it too but if I can help you I really want to.

The vision is the reason why you're doing it. As soon as you find that, you will start to see the options that are available to get it.

What do you love doing? What are you good at? What do you want your business to look like? number of employees? How many weeks off per year? Travel? What famous business owners do you admire and why?

These questions will give you a starting point to creating a vision. You have to be able to see it in your mind as if it was real and already in front of you.
