Yes it does work, but I think it works better with interwoven text links or a full blown mock amazon astore. I've been successful though, made 1600 just from amazon in december.

I don't know much about Amazon, but I believe that before anyone starts affiliate marketing you need to have plenty of content, trust from your readers, and an established group of readers. Build the foundation first.

Try to promote your items by advertising it to other sites. I've recently joined the Amazon community too and I had done one transaction because of this method.

I would love to have a go at this, but as far as I can see it’s the niche that’s important.... what numbers of visitors do you need ....

Most of us would have heard of the*Amazon Affiliate Program, maybe you have even joined it and are trying to make some money with it. That’s what we Affiliate Marketers are here for, after all!**And the Amazon Affiliate Program is one of the biggest and most well known affiliate programs out there, next to EBay Partnernetwork, Clickbank, LinkShare and so on.

I think, the main goal of any website, and especially of an affiliate site, is always to get traffic. The more traffic you get - the more sales.

Yes I have made money with Amazon.

It depends on what you are selling though. Selling books pays low commissions because books are cheap. Selling more expensive products is obviously better because they are bigger ticket items. If you sell low commission items you will have to make up for it with higher sales numbers.

The one really great thing about Amazon is that online shoppers really trust them. Therefore, if you pick your audience properly, it is really easy to get them to buy.
