Google has now successfully launched their link shortener service. So far most of the users preferred Bit.ly on social networks and also for tracking the click counts.

Google will also show you statistics of the links clicked. Now this is what makes it interesting for us. I believe Google is a more reliable source than Bit.ly is, in terms of statistics. Therefore, I've thought of using the Google link shortener service instead of Bit.ly. However, I want you to share your perspective & experiences before making a choice.
