Ebay is a great selling place but fnding the niche product is the hardest bit about it as people if they have found something they are loathed to tell people about it.

My first question us....has anyone been successful in dropship selling on ebay? I have to think with so many people selling the same dropship items, initially bought at the same price there would be a lot of competition reducing the chance for real profit.

If you can find a way to get items at lower cost than others or find a nitch item you would do better.

I am a dropshipper, with hundreds of ebay sellers ordering from me on a steady basis. Ebay is so much more than price, just like selling anywhere else. From 4 gas stations on a corner, each with a different price for gas and each with customers at the pumps, to retail stores in malls and shopping centers, all higher than say Wal*mart, they all seem to sell goods.

Presentation makes a lot of difference on ebay. How you sell, the sales copy you use, your shipping fees and terms, etc. all make a difference. If it were all price, there would only be a few mega-sellers.

I am amazed, to be honest, when a single ebay seller can send me 20 or more orders in a single day. It happens, with many selling 4 to 6 or 8 orders daily. And, quite frankly, I am in an overcrowded field and I am certainly not the cheapest dropshipper. However, I am established and have a good reputation and people know they can place orders with me and have them shipped within 24 to 48 hours.

I'm not saying ebay is for everyone. I'd never sell there, just not my style. But I do have many successful customers who do sell there.
