What besides adsence?
I have quite a few adsence ads on my site. I would like to maybe ad some more ads on my site replacing some of the adsence ads. I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on other programs like adsence. What should I maybe consider and also who should I just stay away from.

I was so excited when I first started my site because I was making a nice amount off the site (well, nice in my eyes). However the amount of money dropped quite fast as visitors to my site were no longer so many new users but now return users.

Well anyways. If anyone has some words of advice that would be wonderful and I think you in advance for your replies.

Do some research on the ad network you choose to go with. For example, Google's search algorithm changes had a negative impact on Text Link Ad users: http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/10/29...-enjoyperthnet

If you use Drupal to manage your site, it has an add-on module for manading ads (where to display, how frequently to show, when to expire, click through count, etc.)

Take Drupal for a spin: http://drupal.neemtree.com.au

i use joomla and it has similar features as drupal..

i'd also suggest an affiliate product.. you might start up a block and comment on products that ur an affiliate for... you can also sign up to be an amazon affilaite and add amazon ads to your site...

with the holidays around the corner you can add all sorts of christmas dog sweater ads, pet toys, pet stockings.. all sorts of stuff

have you created a list from ur visitors? if so, you could send out an email and suggest a few pet products for each pet.

Yeah that happens when returning visitors don't click your ads, affecting your click-through rate, and thus your income.

You may want to consider the idea of private advertising for your thread. It will be more aesthetically pleasing for your site and your income remains constant [and not variable like most CPC ad networks].
