Startup confusion?

I am having a little trouble deciding what e commerce solution I should use

I currently have an ecrater store azdeals.ecrater.com which lets me build a free online store, puts my products on google shopping list and supports paypal and google checkout. I have been looking into getting my own domain and building a store on my own. With ecrater I have the advantage of a marketplace. Obviously building your own site works because it is working for a lot of people. My ecrater store has been up for 3 weeks and no sales yet. I have made a squidoo page for it pasted it up on DMOZ customized it for SEO but still no sales. I have been thinking of building an amazon store but is it worth the $60/mo. Also any suggestions or opinions on dropshipping.

Set up some google adwords. Depending on the products your selling, SEO probably isn't going to be an efficient solution for you unless your amazing at it. And at that point you shouldn't be having this problem.

Now if you don't know anything about google adwords that might not be that efficient either so if you want, PM and we can discuss this further.

I already have google adwords setup and I have decent knowledge of SEO. Any Idea what else I can do to improve my sales/site ranking. I am using ecrater which lets you make your own store and puts your products in the market place. Would making my own E-commerce store make a differnence. I mean isn't ecrater just like making your own store + having your products in a marketplace?

I'd appreciate any suggesstions.

does zen cart let you list your products right away? Or do you need a webstore builder and host?

you need a host, once zen cart is installed it is its own website, it really is one of the best shopping cart solutions you can get. It allows you to pretty much run every aspect of your ecommerce store. It even allows you to send customers that havent visited your store in a seclect amount of time an email or coupon. If you need a good host for it let me know, the host I use provides it for free in the backend and its a one click install.

If you dont have an online payment processor zencart allows the orders to be processed manually or even run completely with paypal processing.
