    Social Networking idea

    Hello everyone,

I've had this brilliant idea that I would love to see be used by people as Facebook is today.

So what do I do with this idea? Who do I talk to? How do I see this website become real and popular? How do I make money from it and maintain ownership?

"Hello, I have a great idea. I know that people are interested in X and Y so I've combined them, and because of Z people are V and as a result they need XY and G in order to be happier. This will result in millions of happy potential customers which results in millions of $$$."

A very simple and generic approach, lol.

I have this great idea, I don't know what to do with it, I see it in my head, I know that it would be popular if people heard about it and started using it, if the website even existed! But I know that a Social Networking website such as this, and Facebook, require a lot of expertise and development in technical aspects which I have no experience in.

Realistically, I don't expect to be able to achieve this, but equally so it is possible and pragmatically will require a lot of hard work which I'm willing to invest if I can realize its potential through the amazing friendship of business partners and developers willing and able to assist in its implementation and seeing it through to fruition.

    Thank you!

Social Networks haven't made much money yet. Facebook has been backed by Russian millioners without any ambitions to make proffit out of it and has been developed over 10 years.
So, if you have lot of capital to put in you could do social networks...

You can always look for other aspiring entrepreneurs/programmers in your niche and try to strike up a deal with them to help you out with the stuff that you cannot do yourself.

When I set up my first website I wanted a completely custom theme. So I didn't pay someone to do it, but instead I gave them 10% of the company (which made £0 unfortunately!). Maybe this is the way you can go?

    Good luck!
