A few months ago I created a site were you can find a better understanding on today's electronics. It's basically a personal blog where I do reviews on certain products but it get virtually no traffic what so ever and I can't afford advertising. So I don't know where I go from here.

Well, you should create back links of your website from blogs, articles etc. That's the correct way to do it.

Thanks for your replies. I do have a Twitter account for the site and will get a Facebook page but how do I create back links?

Join StumbleUpon and submit pages from your website. This is one of the largest source of traffic early in your websites development and it is important that you maximize the power this resource has to offer to leverage social media marketing.

From Facebook to Twitter to LinkedIn, social media sites can provide a lot of traffic and word of mouth advertising for your site. For me, even though I haven't worked these sites to their fullest potential, I still get traffic from them. Getting your pages bookmarked in some of these sites can bring in a flood of traffic overnight, while most of this traffic will be temporary, you can get a lot of sign-ups to your newsletter and different follow-up lists. While not exactly in the same group, I have had some success with YouTube videos which also bring in targeted traffic. Don't ignore these social media and video sites in your traffic strategies.

    Rytard,

There are tons of different ways to generate traffic to your website. In general you need to have good content and structure to your blog. You also need to have a good, streamlined way of sharing that content.

Here are a 10 ways to get your traffic up on your site:
    1. Facebook
    2. Twitter
    3. LinkedIn
    4. Youtube
    5. Digg
    6. Stumbleupon
    7. Topic-Related forums
    8. Google (SEO)
    9. Joint Ventures
    10. Ezine Articles

It is important to remember that Social Media Marketing isn't a short-term strategy, it is a long-term strategy. You need to stay consistent, and constently improve the quality of you content for something like this to work. I hope this has given you a few good ideas.

    Best Regards,
    Nathan Conner

Just wait. You only started this blog a few months ago right. It will take time rank and have visitors. Just continue on updating, posting new contents.
