Marketing ideas for a software discounts website

Hi guys,

Recently I launched a webstore that features a new Windows software at a high discounted price each day for 3 days.

There are 2 types of memberships, standard and premium( which gives longer promotional periods and higher discounts for all the products in the store).

As a viral strategy, each user who brings 10 referrals will get a free premium membership. Another viral strategy, but at a smaller scale is that user will get a specified product at higher discount instantly if he recommends the product to 5 friends by email. To be a win-win situation, those friends will also get directly the same higher discount.

...and my question...

What kind of marketing methods do you recommend in order to get enough boost and start the "viral engine" ?

Also, I'm looking for a guy which is good at online marketing to help me promote the website.

IMO contests/giveaways work well for trying to get something to go viral. If you do something like give away a free ipad, and a customer gets a "raffle ticket" for each person they refer, that will give them a serious reason to refer people.
