Looking to gain affiliates for a software developing company - any suggestions?

Hey guys, well I've recently built a full 100% real-time tracking affiliate network for all of my software products. I'm looking to expand on that and gain more dedicated affiliates. Any suggestions on how to attract them? The payouts are good with incentives, for example: Each product has a 35% commission starting out. If the affiliate makes more than 10 sales in one week - the commission is bumped to 40% and so on and so forth all the way up to 50% per sale. Payouts are done weekly via paypal, always on time, etc. So for an avid affiliate that alone is very attractive.

I can also guarantee I offer very valuable software for SEO/Keyword research that have sold like hot cakes with just myself selling them. I'm thinking bigger - expanding with affiliates, giving everyone a cut.

Anyways, I guess this boils down to the main question: What's the most effective way to gain affiliates?

-make sure your affiliate section has banner ads, PPC keywords, articles for article directories, posts affiliates can use to put up on their blog, graphics of your product, squeeze pages, alternate landing pages, e-mail promos, and maybe an affiliate marketing starter guide.

-announce your launch on as many relevant forums as you can.

-search for other websites that are in the same niche as your website on google. Contact the owners of these websites and ask them if they will promote for you. Make sure when you approache the owners of these websites be kind, tell them the benefits of promoting your website, and don't make some generic e-mail that can be sent to any website, make sure your e-mail is personal and tailored specifically to the person you are contacting. If you can get these web masters on the phone then give them a call, it will increase your chances of them marketing for you.
