Question IDEAS? New Website and Growing Sales

so I started an online retail store selling outdoor equipment, and in the last couple of month after exhausting SEO and manual marketing over the net, sales are consistently growing for the past three months.

I make about 6K revenue per month, profit is about $1,300 per month.

I'm happy about this, as I've just started. I've done a lot of SEO myself, and want to know what could I do to expand sales.

at the current projection I'll be making annual revenue of about 72K...

I get about 9K unique visitors per month.

the competitor to beat in my market makes about 60-100K+ annually with profit anywhere between 30-50K.... i've done some research using various tools to get these numbers.

my competitor gets about 21K visitors per month.. he does rank better for keywords

I want to beat him. my marketing is so much more comprehensive than his is. and I don't understand how he get so many visitors.

I've tried CPC - Google Adwords. doesn't work for my business.

WhiteSands, what about advertising in other forms of media or other forms of online media?

Other forms of traditional media could be classifieds for like minded magazines. Is there a magazine that suits your target customers? If so, maybe get some advertising in the back of that magazine. If "outdoor magazine" is where you would be advertising, then get the past 3 or 4 copies of outdoor magazine and see if there are repeat advertisers. Clearly people are going to continue with advertising that is directly working. I guess you would need to track it, but could always setup another domain or link for that.

Another idea is to advertise in content driven sites. Google has a nice content advertising selection and also look at blogs that talk about your "genre" of outdoor equipment.

    Hope these ideas helped...
