Basically trying to see what would be a fair price for someone who is in a specific area and does not work for a company that offer adding 1000 friends for $10.
$100 per 1000 is that fair?

i think creating a facebook page is a better idea, much more cost effective
I'm sorry I guess I wasn't that clear with my question: after creation of a facebook page, which will target local area, paying someone who is also a local person and has multiple friends to like the page and spread the word, $100 for 1000 "likes" (too much too little?)
maybe still not clear, let me know, thanks
Using facebook ads you will get visitors starting from 70 cents...
Would you know if they are targeted ads, ie zip codes, cities, etc?
Check fiverr.
It's a website where people do things for 5 bucks.
A lot of people on there offering facebook friends. You may find a few in your niche.
Facebook is more Good website for getting traffic from this by making Facebook fan pages..
Is this beneficial for any manufacturing company.
Adding FB friends aren't so tricky! You can do it yourself for just an hour a day.
A little much to be honest....
I think it depends on what your margin and your market is?
If you have a product that is $1,000 with very little overheads etc. and you know that you have a 1-2% conversion for that product, then 1,000 friends is going to be valuable for you and you could probably pay $0.50-$4 per fan. It all depends on whether your fans are targeted, whether they're interested in your product, how much your product is, what your conversion rates are, whether you up-sell them into anything, what your margins are, what your overheads are etc. etc.
it's easy to get a bunch of people on your facebook fan page for peanuts, but whether they'll convert into sales is another thing.
If they're TARGETED fans, then comparing it with facebook ads, could mean you can get a great deal, because as "veikoh" said, you could be paying upwards of 70 cents per fan (or click depending on if you use CPC or CPM).
If you're trying to compare rates to something else, then I would compare it based on the QUALITY of the fans, rather than the quantity. The 80/20 rule. That's why the internet is awesome, instead of "mass marketing" to everyone, you can get access to the people who are going to be customers.
Well, everyone today is creating their facebook Fan page and FBML page too but at the same time if there are no results after putting all the efforts then it is of no use and it will be thus better buying Facebook fans and surely there is no harm doing it.
One can buy a complete pack of 1000 fans and all will be real.

Can Anyone guide me a lil that how we work on facebook to earn money, no spams ....please
Well,it needs a bit of research. Each service provider has their own rates based on the services provided. So,you need to look for places (including this forum) where you can find people who offer these services and get in contact with them. There are ways of geting targeted traffic,so I advise you not to be limited by Facebook and Twitter alone.
