    I currently own 1,401 domains.

Websites online I have over 300. Either mini sites, affiliate sites, adult sites, information sites, business sites all for myself. =]

I am 36 years young and I have built hundreds of websites for my self through the years. I have two live websites now and one I just started literally three days ago. Hopefully in about a week I will have everything in order on my new website to start major SEO campains with it.

Same exact thing with me. I was creating websites at the age of 10, I'm 14 now. I have several websites hosted on freewebs, wordpress, so on and so forth. I am getting my sports card website up soon. But to anyone starting out, I would recommend you get started with HTML and not a WYSIWYG editor.

I probably have around 8, but only two that I really work on these days. Some of those old ones would be fun to find and look at now though.

I heard a guy called Armen (forget his last name) speak at a conference in Sydney about a year ago. He was an Internet Marketer from the US and from memory, he said he had around 310 websites?

I think he probably just setup that many and a lot of it would have been trial and error.... You make 310 websites, a few of them have gotta be good yea?

I think he also said he made his own country music CD and got it to the top 10 in Amazon solely from Internet Marketing!

    To answer the question though....

I've really only got the 3 websites that I work on at the moment.

In the next few years, that will probably increase to around 20.

i cannot fathom having 20 websites... possibly info pages that never get updated.. but damn, it seems much more logical to have 5 or less that you can focus your attention on.

How is everyone doing with the ad revenues from their sites? I'm wondering how much small sites can make and whether it is worth the effort.

I own about 20 domains, use about 8 of them, the others are future projects or abandoned ones. Then there are a like 4 .blogspot.com's that I use and make money on, along with 1 .wordpress.com.

I'm actively running about 6 websites right now, some geared to draw attention to a specific business or website, the rest simply informational content sites for advertising revenue.

The key is content. Not all content sites need to be updated regularly. Adding some content, no matter how small, on a regular basis will eventually build traffic.

One website created a few months ago. So far I have had a few sales and a bit of money generated through adsense. My website costs have easily been paid for off of just a couple sales. I'm looking to build another site. I just haven't come up with an idea yet.
