    Email Marketing

    Is anyone here using Email Marketing?

    I use email marketing for niche related websites with opt in , and they generate good leads/sales depending on what i promote. It really depends on how you approach it, if you approach with spam, then yes, you wont get nothing reply.

    Viral marketing same as word of mouth marketing except it is conducted over the Internet. One form of viral marketing is a "recommend to friends or others" link on a web page that allows a user to enter email addresses of friends, colleges, and relatives informing them of a business or product.

    email marketing is the use of email to develop relationships with potential clients. It is an inexpensive way to advertise your company and its products and/or services compared to many other types of marketing.

    Hi there, not all email marketing is free, there's also have a non free email address.. But yeah you're right, email marketing is inexpensive way to promote business/website online.. It is also the way to communicate with clients.. Thanks for your contributions.. Good day to you..

    Email marketing was in the past a good tool, but nowadays it's no longer..most of the emails mark immediately as spam. I'm in the online business for over a decade. It use to be a great marketing tool - today. NO LONGER! don't bother spend any money on this, it'll be a total waste

    Email marketing can be useful but there's also some disadvantage of Email Marketing..

    the main disadvantages of Email marketing evident are:
    1. Deliverability. Difficulty of getting messages delivered through different internet service providers (ISPs), corporate firewalls and webmail systems.
    2. Renderability. Difficulty of displaying the creative as intended within the in-box of different email reading systems.
    3. Email response decay. Email recipients are most responsive when they first subscribe to an email. It is difficult to keep them engaged.
    4. Communications preferences. Recipients will have different preferences for email offers, content and frequency which affect engagement and response. These have to be managed through communications preferences.
    5. Resource intensive. Although email offers great opportunities for targeting, personalisation and more frequent communications, additional people and technology resources are required to deliver these.
