Business website marketing Help!

Hey guys,

As a web developer, I have gathered a web team to create a very unique gaming website that involves gamers challenging others on the website, betting money through challenges and winning cash. Extentions like (affiliated programs) and such will also be created, to stay in touch with players. Being a decent expert in the gaming industry, i have no doubt that these ideas have amazing potentials.

I have the team ready to execute the project, I have the raw materials, and i'm ready to spend $3000 on advertising alone.

But of course there is always this feeling of "what if..", especially since the money i will be using will be from fellow investors. Which is why i'm here asking for help. If anyone could please advice me on how to take proper steps into getting traffic and into keeping the traffic, and making this project successful. The ideas are there but without the proper steps into getting that permanent traffic, those ideas are worthless

Regarding your marketing your product.I would say hire a internet marketing professional on monthly basis or pay per performance basis.thats the best thing you can do so that you can focus on whats the best you can do.

There are ways to market online - SEO,SEM,Ads on relevant sites,etc.While results from SEO are relatively slow to start with,but they have significant effect once you reach Google first page.SEM includes using tools like Google Adwords - where you should be careful with your campaign design or else you can end up losing dollars.Ads on third party sites can be expensive but can be lucrative if done with proper research.

I do internet marketing as well- you can PM if you like to know the specifics of how each of the techniques can help you build the traffic and build your brand online(this is very important as well,however neglected many a times)

If you can create a big hype about the website amongst a small comunity it will be a big hit.

Join a few forums, make some friends and get everyone playing your game.
