Exclamation Average cost to outsource Internet Marketing??

    Hey,

I'm thinking about outsourcing my marketing efforts so that I can focus on the core aspects of my business. My question is what do think would be the ideal cost to have basic internet marketing done?

I can handle social media(Facebook, Twitter) marketing myself, but I want someone else to handle SEO, forums, link exchanges etc.

Also, do you think outsourcing is more beneficial? I know controlling the marketing yourself can help you learn valuable stuff, but would it be really effective taking on that part of the business too?

I want to hear any thoughts you have.

You basically have to sit down and figure out what you want to be in charge of personally, and what you want others to take care of. Be honest about your strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you're a terrible writer, you will probably want to outsource your writing.

Glad to hear you're thinking of outsourcing. With the right people working for you, it will make your life alot easier. After all, there are only so many hours in the day. You can't do EVERYTHING by yourself.

Just a tip for you - don't go bottom-of-the-barrel when it comes to outsourcing, no matter what task. You might save a few bucks, but you get what you pay for. And remember, anyone you outsource to is going to be a direct reflection on you and your business. You should have the same expectations of them that you would have of any employee you would hire. There are plenty of professionals out there that can handle your business properly, but they'll cost you more than $2!

Sure it will be benefitial, you cant be expert on anything. I could do a good SEO for you (never had problems to get sites to first page on Google for desired keywords). Usually site SEO something 30H of my work, link building 50-80H of my work.

I agree with whats been said. You can't be an expert on everything. And outsourcing is a good way to get smaller jobs taken care of. Nicole is right though (very right infact) about paying for a price. You really do get what you pay for. Sure for menial data entry you can elance it off to india for $2 an hour. But for anything skilled based or anything that requires clear communication, you have to pay for it. I do transcription on elance, and it pays pretty well because people have learnt that somethings just can't be sent to third wheel countries for the price of a cheeseburger

I have some really good people working for me from about $2 per hour. I had to interview about 50 people on odesk.com to find them but it was totally worth all the effort. They do most of the jobs I hate. I find also asking for referrals from good people is another great way to find more great people. I wouldnt pay over $2 though unless i was getting graphics done or web design

i have two full time outsourcers and i do not suggest odesk or elance. one i got from manilla craigslist. and the other from easy outsourcers .com

just keep in mind the basics of hiring someone. do a good interview and give them a paid job to do as test job.
a good outsourcer for basic tasks is between 300-500 dollars USD per month.

Hire Filipinos - Find Online Workers in the Philippines | EasyOutsource just search people and send them mail offering a job.

craigslist: manila classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events just search resumes and offer jobs.

I guess the advice I would give to you depends on what type of business you are marketing. Also, when you say you want someone to handle SEO, forums and link exchanges, do you mean on a continual basis, or just for one time? There might be ways to go about this without "outsourcing". For instance, maybe you can pay someone some money to have your link on their sig in a forum. For link exchanges, maybe you can just submit to some article directories instead. For SEO, maybe you can just do some simple on-site tweaks now on your own.
