Frankly speaking, I am quite sick of those teach-you-how-to-get-rich-by-selling-ebooks kind of ebook. I had never bought an ebook before and I don't think I will ever buy one.

It's wonderful that you'd like to start selling ebooks, it's a good biz to get into. The business that I'm involved in has literally HUNDREDS of ebooks that you can resell for profit & loads of PLR products. Plus my biz incorporates PLR products with a very lucrative biz opportunity. I coach and mentor anyone who signs up under me and teach them how to market themselves and advertise as well, I even (for those who are serious) help new members to market and advertise for the first 2 weeks so that can qualify. It really fun and a very profitable biz. All the tools and resources I provide allow all my members to start making money fairly quickly and if they'd like sell the free ebook and PLR products. I currently make $47 & $97 payments to my paypal while I help others learn how to setup their biz as well. There's SO many places to sell and market, I teach all my people how to utilize web 2.0 tactics to reach a large audience and bring free leads to their site on a daily basis. I started to write an ebook then was depressed by the margins ... a ton of work for a small profit.

1. is selling ebooks lucrative?

I would say no ... BUT I have heard great things from lulu.com

If you are a 'expert' in your topic and people like how you write and what you write about then go for it. If you are just trying to write an ebook to make money ... don't waste your time.

2. where can i sell?

ebay, lulu.com, amazon.com, your own site, blogs, etc.

3. how do i advertise?

I would recommend word of mouth, a blog about your subject, starting a blog about your subject, get influential people to read it ... aka big movers and shakers in the subject you are writing about, t-shirts, banner ads, etc.
