1. Find someone with a popular blog
2. Pay them a small amount of money to write a positive review or even just post your business' URL
3. Watch the increased stream of people visit your website, or use your business!

Good idea. I think there are websites out there already that are used just for this purpose (to find people that are willing to review your site/product). It's a good tip.

I think there was a site called PayPerPost.com or something where you can order someone to write a paid article to your blog. But when you are hosting your blog in wordpress.com or blogger.com, you are not able to earn money from them.

Are you sure you cant earn money through blogger? What if the money was sent privately in return for a mention in a blog? This way the affiliate marketing is not obvious and people may trust their judgements more.

Specifiy. Although having a custom blog may be better in most cases it is will possible to make money having your blog hosted at wordpress.com or blogger. If you have a blog with 1000 active readers or more I can guarantee you that you are going to be able to make money out of it.

It can be easy to find people to do it. Blogger promote people that have a lot of followers and there is also a 'next blog' button which means you can scan through and it doesn't take long to find someone with 500+ followers. My life of doing nothing

I hosted in wordpress, so if I tried to put any affiliate banner, my account was suspended. So, I moved to my own hosting even loosing a lot of traffic with this step.
