Facebook is one way of marketing the business you have. You can tell everyone that you are running a business or if you have website all you can do is to put the link on the facebook page and it will directly go to your site.

According to Alexa dot com, Facebook is the #2 most visited site globally!!!

Your exposure on Facebook can be phenomenal. However, Facebook alone does not promote your business, you will still need to do some things for that. For example, as I am currently learning, you have to get people to your site. There are billions of websites out there, how do you get people to find yours?

Just a couple of quick suggestions:

First of all start off with your business contacts, give them your Facebook information and have them add you as a friend (or vice versa). Suggest that they "like" your page.

Secondly, if you have a personal website, connect it to your Facebook with the "like" button.

Facebook is helpful. So is Twitter and Pinterest. But these social networks are only a small part of the marketing equation. If you update your status, send out a tweet or publish a new pin, users are quite likely to visit your website. If the content isn't up to par with the image you're crafting on Web 2.0 properties, that lead will probably up your bounce rate rather than purchase a product or order a service.

    Hope this helps!

Like everything when it comes to generating traffic to your site, it takes a combination of strategies, and FB is just one such strategy. With FB starting to block high traffic generating tactics, I see it as short lived. It may be effective for some for a limited time, but with all the truth coming out about FB and phoney member numbers, it will not be the thing to focus on in my opinion. Most are not on FB for business, and already complaints about commercial use is mounting.

    Very true.

It's always more beneficial to focus on your own site rather than a shotgun approach. Matt Cutts and Duane Forrester keep repeating this and for some reason, the advice seems largely ignored.

With the coming emergence of the semantic web, quality content will trump just about everything else.

Another vote for Facebook. The site has a huge (VERY huge) number of active users. When you post a link I don't think it would go unnoticed. However, posting the same links again and again and again only makes you a spammer. The important thing is you're posting moderately, and the content you're posting is actually quality. This strategy cultivates trust between you and potential readers.

Facebook is the best social networking site. so it can be a good reference where you can meet genuine people and introduce your site or your product in a more personal manner. Through friends' recommendations you will be able to have more exposure.

Facebook is a great tool for online marketing but only one of many others. You should set up a Facebook page and just keep it active by making posts and actively interact with your audience. I have a site that has various Facebook techniques and other advertising tools that I share with my sign ups.

    Email me for link.

As per my knowledge on Social Networking site...Facebook is one of the best and major resource in online marketing...by this we can easily promote our business to reach the potential customers.....In Facebook we have to create one Profile, and add some attractable pics with good article content...and share with your friends or add some persons then share with them....
