Are You Innovative?

I don't believe in living on passive income unless you're old and retired.

I love working, I love hard work, I love hard-earned money (and lots of it) and I want to spend more than 8 hours a day doing what I love. That's why I want to be an entrepreneur, and I only admire entrepreneurs who actually work.

As for competition though, I don't think people should avoid tapping into a saturated niche...innovation is definitely key in this aspect.

The key to making money in this industry is you need to be a master lead generator, prospector and closer. You need systems in place that help you achieve at least 2 out of 3 of those so you can leverage your time and find duplication in your business. In my five years making money from home the key is to be consistent yet farm out many of the menial tasks and focus on closing and cashing checks.

I agree with you that If one doesn't have any innovation within him than he is in more difficulty to get growth in him. Being an Entrepreneur I know how much innovation should entrepreneur have to show. I am glad to recieve your post. Thanks for this.

adsense sites are stupid if you take them seriously, fun if you just want a cool blog that you love to do and have the idea hey why not make some money off my writings, i take pride in them, i should get paid right?

Innovative in the sense means to show our full cooperation and creativity towards particular business.
I agree with you if any body wants to grow in business than he should be innovative.

Many countries have been influenced by Corporate Governance for very good reasons. But there seems to be a downside to this. For instance, Denmark currently has a larger number of entrepreneurs per capita than the USA. However, at the same time, the net growth from start-ups is close to zero. This indicates that too few start-ups survive and prosper in the long run. Also, the overall hit rate of Danish innovation projects has been measured to be as low as 6%–7%. This serves to illustrate the need for working systematically with innovative competence and management, perhaps even the need to supplement Corporate Governance with a form of Innovation Governance.

I thought I was the only one who shared entrepreneur86's opinions.
Start-ups are meant to be creative enterprises that bring something different to society.
If one runs any of the plain old businesses, e.g. retail stores, blogs with paid advertisements, he is not an entrepreneur -- merely a businessman.

ok,ok, so everyone believes that entrepreneurs need to be innovative, but the question is, HOW does one entrepreneur actually BE innovative.
Everyone has their own thoughts on what 'innovative' is. People who are starting out their new online ventures, naturally are still learning the ropes on what it takes to be an innovative entrepreneur - how to learn to step out of the growth of weeds to make outstanding progress moving their online businesses forward to profitability.

With the number of marketing schemes and adsense hype of promising loads of profit with their businesses - personally i think it is not such a bad thing,

1. it gives the newbies to online a chance at getting their feet wet and being able to experience this particular strategy and

2. it gives 'innovative' online entrepreneurs the chance to 'help' un-innovative entrepreneurs to BE entrepreneurs through the programs/services sold or forums (like these) to impart their knowledge, it really is a win win situation depending apon which ever way you look at it.

I consider myself innovative, even tough it sometimes shows that I wasn't the first one to come up with an idea. However, the key to success is not always to be "the first one", but to be the best!

What does it matter whether you make your money passively or on a day-by-day basis? It's still money at the edn of the day. As far as I see it being an entrepreneur is about making money through applied sense and instinct. Putting in lots of extra effort everyday to make the same amount of money you could make passively results in low productivity. This means wasted energy which could be used elsewhere, this means bad business sense.

In these tough times there is no time to be messing about with 'how great it makes you feel to really work hard every day for your money' Just concentrate on bringing the money in rather than making a loss. I know plenty of entrpreneurs that enjoy what they do but they don't make any money from.

After reading this thread - which was very interesting i might add, i cant help but offer some of my own input. Its seems to me that some of us confuse innovation, or the lack there of, with glamorous or unglamorous. And some of us also forget that one of the factors that can make something innovative is timing - which we rarely have control over.

Certainly doing something different will always feel better than doing what everyone else does. But different does not necessarily mean innovative, or glamorous.

Selling shovels is not neat, glamorous or new. Its not looked at as exciting nor inventive. But during the gold rush, selling shovels could very well have been considered innovative. The sellers of shovels may not have known that. The inventor of barbed wire may not have realized it either, yet barbed wire has been credited as one of the key reasons people were able to settle in the west - and inspire the invention of the tank.

There are thousands of ways to make an airplane, a car, a house, a website, ads, content, etc. And while they may all be the same, the successes are different because people discover new and exciting tricks or tactics along the way - if they are paying attention. Some are innovative, and others not - yet both result in some sort of success for some people.

Anyway... my main thought is that if these people did not start with something - whether or not others are doing the same - they would not have discovered something new, different, or innovative along the way.

So i say do something, do everything, do anything... regardless of how many others are doing it, but pay attention along the way as innovation or success may reveal itself around the next corner.
