I think short urls without letters could be practical, but sometimes urls give hint about page-content without reading it.

I think short urls without letters could be practical, but sometimes urls give hint about page-content without reading it.
I can certainly see the practical application in this, but that would make it very boring. Plus as you said, it would eliminate any hint at what the website could be. Ex:
example.com/123 = Google
example.com/124 = Hardcore sex
