^^I believe fattony was refering to akula's love on blogs...

As far as the original poster, get links from other related sites, submit to directories, forum signitures etc and you should get some traffic.

Yeh He said it because Akula posts on every post saying he will set up a viral community

The rest was for the original poster.

How can you generate more revenue, and can the internet help you do that by providing you qualified leads... ie: people who are in need of your service?

In other words, it's not just about getting a ton of traffic... it's about getting targetted traffic to your site.. and once they land on your site, you have a QUICK easy way to convert them to a new customer, such as a landing page which provides a promotion, etc...

I would start by finding your best competition out there, see what they are doing, and do better.

There are a ton of ways to build traffic, many of which I have documented for you here:

Make sure the forum revolves around the ideas behind your website though, or is intertwined in someway. For you, maybe find a forum focused around home movies?

    Generate FREE Traffic!

Well, I think forums are a great vehicle to get free traffic to your site.

So, keep doing what your are doing now but
    keep in mind the following:

-Always provide valuable information - Don't just reply or post questions to get your signature out there. Provide help and information to others that can benefit anybody who read it.

-Only participate in topics that you know about - It is important that people begin to know you for giving good advice and helping others. You don't want to ruin your reputation on the forums. It will damage your business in the long run.

-Try not to include your signature when asking for advice - I try to only include my signature when providing value to a conversation, not when asking for help.

With time, you will increase the traffic to your site by participating in forums.
Keep participating with the goal of learning and helping. Traffic will come on its own.

If you need more information about other ways to generate traffic for free (ways that work like magic), or need more help with your online endeavor, feel free to contact me anytime.

From reading the above, it seems the best way to increase trafic (free of charge) the general consensus is take part in relevant forums and leave a signature.

I have been trying to do this for a while now but the forums in our field see us as competition and rarely allow us to leave links. Can anyone suggest any way around this? Or possibly recommend any topical websites where we would be allowed to leave a signature?
