My name is John. I am a US Citizen with a working holiday Visa. I want to start a coin kiosk business throughout shopping centre and malls in Australia. I have built a network of investors in the US, and have met a few business people along the way in my travels to Australia. As far as starting a business, besides getting a trademark for my company, do I need an ABN number to protect my intellectual property? Any suggestions anyone can give me that I would need to look into as a non-Australian citizen trying to start a business in Australia? Thanks!

You say as a "Non Australian Citizen" do you have residency because i'm pretty sure unless you even have residency you probably have an uphill battle getting an ABN
