What's wrong with my landing page?

Hey guys,

Jumping back into affiliate marketing now after a harsh start a few months ago. This time I want to get it right- but I know I'm not there yet, because you guys are probably going to laugh at this landing page.

Let me know what you think about it- content, meta tags, whatever it may be, it'd be much appreciated.

Your keywords are more like praises. Also use single words: girlfriend, ex girlfriend, ex-wife, heartbroken,

etc.

Design is clean, and nice.

You need a better banner / logo. Also, are you using your META Tags? When I view your source you only have a few words. Make sure the first thing a person sees when they visit your site is eye catching... your talking about getting an ex back so put something lovey-duvey (spelling?) or sexy into your banner.. let them know what your page is about in less then 5 seconds..

I think you should consider using another website to market your material. Perhaps you should look into picking up a template. The landing page is just very bland and in my opinion does have any sort of "Call to Action". I just doesn't make me want to buy.
Also, you have no META information as I've looked at your source code so at this point it will not be properly indexed. I do like the concept but I think you're going to have a hard time selling any kits unless you really spice things up.

Perhaps you should look at providing some preview material for each product before you redirect them over to your affiliate page. This would help to hook your customers before sending them over to the affiliate kits.

Here's my suggestions:

1) A different website. - Check the 2nd link in my sig. - or you can look around and see there are some pretty nice free templates out there if you have no budget for this project.

2) Testimonials from those that praise the products you have to offer. Testimonials are much more powerful than people think. - You might think they are overrated but I bet you've found yourself reading them on people's websites.

3) Properly created META in your HTML doc. You have no META keywords, no presence of robots, etc. There are tons of free tools online to help you formulate proper META for your site.

4) Use of ALT text is not found for your images either.

5) You need more copy. It's important to gear your site around the 3 keywords you would like to optimize to. Find out what your 3 main keywords are and write some copy that includes those words to help with your indexing.

It's all about conversion. Getting people to you site is the easy part. Making them want to click the buy now button is the trick.

One last thing. If you don't have a budget for Search Engine Optimization then you should consider doing some research on how to optimize a website. This will help you to better understand what it takes to build a successful website. ie - keyword structure, meta, use of H1 Headers, etc.

I would work on your "Call to Action." I would change your fonts/colors and add an image of some sort so your headlines pop. Overall work on the visual presentation of the header. I have an idea of two people depressed and alone one on each side of the "Call to Action" and then at the bottom right of your page a picture of the two people together smooching! These people would be cartoon drawings... just an idea for you to think about! Best of luck to you!

Focus all your attention on selling your call to action..........

Not clear who you are targeting........

It is better to get 2 visitors from 1000 traffic sources, than 1000 website visitors from only 2 traffic sources....think about it, this thought could save your business!

I would tweak the "product 1, product 2" language to something more creative - or throw in some rating star graphics.

Also - your target audience is in an intense state of emotion to buy these products - I would cater and be sensitive to that emotion - maybe buy some quality pics off of istock or somewhere that would depict a persons relevant to your target and emotional frame.

I would make your best review in the middle, but also a bit larger(image, font, etc) than the rest. Maybe a bit of color change.

But beyond that, I'd play with the language a bit. This is something people feel absolutely passionate about. Play to those emotions.

"This is a step by step guide to recovering the love of your life. There is NO NEED to feel that terrible knot in your stomach as you picture her in the arms of another man.
NO NEED for her to even look for such a thing.
NO NEED for someone else to take your place!

Ok, not my best copy, but you get the idea. You don't want something about love to sound so neutral and non-passionate.

When people want to get back together, why do they do that?
They made a mistake.
They realize they're still in love.
They're jealous.
They're afraid of getting left behind.

Those are very powerful motivators to play off of.
