    Google AdSense Program Policies states:
In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks.
    • May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as "click the ads," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language
    • May not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks
    • May not place misleading images alongside individual ads
    • May not promote sites displaying ads through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites
    • May not compensate users for viewing ads or performing searches, or promise compensation to a third party for such behavior
    • May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites"

I found only a few instances of AdSense on their site, and they don't come right out and ask folks to click - so they are not violating the letter of the rules, but certainly the spirit.

However, most of their ads are not through Google, so it seems as though the issues (or effects of being reported to AdSense) would be minimal.

I have seen some sites that say: Please support us by clicking on our sponsors. Is that a violation?

If you read the post above the TOS clearly state that saying this is a violation.

The reason im inquiring is due to the fact that I thought of this idea a year or so ago and declined to do so via Advertisers TOS. Oh well. Thanks or the insight guys!
