The best thing would be to SEO your site and get ranked high. Although it takes time, it is well worth it.

They have a forum that you can post on, but you better do more than just advertise on it.

I've recently put in my blog a list of sites that will let you advertise free. 4 of the sites drive a ton more traffic to my biz then the others-some free sites I've found are a waste of time. These 4 often drive more traffic then even my google adwords and other paid ads. Let me know if anyone wants the links-don't want to spam

I have used Link Referral in the past. They are better than most traffic exchange programs as your link gets added to various pages on their site and then google comes along and counts them as being linkbacks to your site.

Apart from Link Referral I generally dislike traffic exchanges but I do like forum posting, SEO (even though SEO for blogs can be limited) and article submissions.
