Real life affiliate programs. I need some help.

So I want to create affiliate programs for my gaming center. However, I don't know how to go about doing this. I need some ideas and suggestions on what I could do to encourage refferals.

One idea I had was that they basically sign up, give me their info and whanot. When someone else comes to the center and gives their refferrer's name, that person gets a certain amount of points or credits to go towards free gaming. What do you think?

Have you thought about going through ClickBank or someother affiliate program. Just by looking at the requirements they have for affiliates could help you out on what you need to do.

I would not recommend going the route of relying on customers to put in a referral id number. You should consider signing up with a company like clickbank or cj.com and let them handle the custom links.

I don't think you guys even listened to his question. He's asking about Real Life affiliates. And yeah, that's basically the best way to go about it. Here's another idea though. You give the affiliates a bunch of "coupons" that they give out to people. And if people decide to go to the Gaming Center they'll use the coupon. On the coupon have some affiliate ID number, or name on it. Or have the affiliates print it on there. Referred by: ______ etc.

P.S. Clickbank only sells digital products (ex. ebooks, software) and cj has $2,000-10,000+ deposit to even get started.

I guess I didn't understand what he meant by "real life". I am real, are you? Is this for online advertising or offline advertising?

He means offline. The only people that could go to his store would be people that live near it. Or they could drive hours. Or fly there.

I agree with cswolf's earlier post about coupons. It could have the referrers name/code on it and it should actually be some sort of discount, maybe a free gaming magazine with game purchase, or something like that. You could even make a freebie like hints/cheats for different games that you give them.

Colin, rewards for referrals is definitely a smart strategy - it will enhance your word of mouth and this is good for a business that depends on local customers.

You could also take it a step further and let people keep track of their referrals and offer extra bonuses or something - might make it more appealing.

Thanks for the information. Coupons are quite a good way of marketing a product or part of a site as there are many coupon sites on the web and will only help you to promote your site, which is all good.

CS wolf. I think i'm going got go with your idea. I'll offer a free pop or something else cheap as to try to make them hand over their coupons. I'll let you know how it goes.
