    Question About Google Adwords

Does anyone know from experience what the click through rate is usually for adwords on google? I mean just a ballpark estimate of what the percentage would be of people clicking on my ad on average so I can estimate the maximum amount of money I should put in for each month.
Also does anyone know what the google adwords bill will look like on a credit card statement? Just curious.

thats kinda hard to awnser, it all depends on the topic of your site, the keywords you use +++, I've got some keywords with a 20% CTR and some with under 1% so it pretty much all comes down to picking the right keywords, if you let everyone know your site topic maybe someone in that same area as you can help you out a little more...

Energie9's right, it depends on your site, your keywords, how your ad is written, and even the current buying mood of Internet searchers. Each situation is unique, so the only way to really get this information is to garner it yourself, probably by running small campaigns and evaluating the results. Don't forget to use the Analytics service in conjunction with your AdWords campaign - it is truly very useful.

Electronics is not a cheap category with a lot of competition.

    Depends on:

    1. Your keywords - Google charges the competitiveness of your keywords. If there are a lot of people using the keyword then google charges more. For a high priced electronic product that sells well expect to pay upwards of .50c a click.

    2. Google charges for relevance - If your keyword is in your ad and it gets good click thru Google will usually let you pay less per click.

    3. About CTR - You should do multiple ads for the same adgroup and test them while improving on the best performing one. Target you ads and have a catchy headline and you will most definitely get good CTR.
