I have 6 Adult sites in our prtfolio and no 2 sites will earn the same revenue it is also down to how you promote the sites as they are much much harder to promote than say a normal site but the revenue can be much bigger. The hosting facilities are also more expensive.

Thank you for your reply
![]() with your experience, can I ask you your business opinion of owning an adult site? (If you feel comfortable discussing it, that is ) Such as, are they more work than they are worth, do they bring in an effective income, are they shoing signs of being affected by the recession? Also back to my original question, do you know a rough estimate off the potenial earnings for a site with 2500 page views a day?

That would depend on what type of program you sign up for and how much you get off of each 1,000 impressions.

@jirka a Adult site with 2500 page views a day must be a newish site in my mind as page views are not unique vistors and the latter one is the one that counts and i would think that revenue would be low but dont let that put you off as any new site has to start with zero revenue but as long as the unique visitors start to grow so will the revenue and the Adult arena is seen as being somwhat recession proof and not hit as hard as other sectors.
Is this site with 2500 vistors a site that has been offered to you or what ??? if you give me the url i will take a look and give you my opinion,a friend of mine spent 18 months learning everything about Adult sites and i mean everything but still did not own his own site at that time but he then started a new site nearly 2 years back and it is currently worth nearly $2million the site url can be provided if you need that information but it can be done it just has to be marketed differently than say a normal site. |

Mega B, yeah I'd be very interested in checking out the site you mentioned. Actually the site I am considering is actually a blog, more than a site but it has its own website address, not hosted with blogger or anything that is.
Also @ Gene, I know that the revenue potential will vary from affiliate provider but I am looking for a general amt, ie for example the site has a potential $50-$200 a day The unique visitors for this blog/site avarage around 1800 daily |

I would say that if it has 1800 u/v aday revenue would be very low and you also dont say what ads you have on the site if you have say BLA ads from adbrite revenue will be poor but you wont get the big revenue ads on your site as the big boys wont be interested till you get alot more u/v its catch 22 really you grow the site and the revenue will grow but you dont mention a great amount about the site like how old it is or anything the only thing we have info on about its a adult blog if it is a niche blog that could make the potential revenue greater.
You can set up a blog with say a 20-30k videos installed for peanuts but unless you get the vistors that means nothing. If you require some more advice and regarding the nature of the sector on this forum you can PM and i will try and help or advice you. |
