i'm sure there is a thread or two on this topic but i'm too busy to go searching. what does everyone feel about featuring services or website on myspace?

i really would rather not get involved in that whole thing, but what...37 million people on there?

thoughts?

I don't think it would be very effective. It would be interesting to see if anyone has had success with this. The ads would have to be very targeted towards the audience that is in that particular group.

There are tons of ways to make money on myspace. Most of them involve semi-questionable activity, but many people are making lots of money there.

As I mentioned, most involve semi-questionable activity, so I would rather not suggest them. But effectively targeting your clientelle using searches and groups could be a great way.

Many MySpace members who have illegitimately gained several thousand friends sell 'MySpace Bulletins' which is basically a message to all your friends - you pay them and they send a bulletin with your ad and URL in it.

There's lots of people on myspace...More people = more opportunities for you to make $$ somehow, some way.

In a nutshell:

Reach x amount of the right (demographs!) people with the ______'s you are selling and x of people will buy it.

So the objectives are:
Reach the most people
Deliver the best converting message which will lead to...
Your landing page, which will hopefully convert to your affiliates/adsense/whatever...This = $$ for you and your ingenuity.

Myspace=tons of people=free promotion.
I am in a band so I am good at promoting stuff through myspace.
Today I have made 44 dollars with adsense through 1 single blog I promote on myspace. And its only 6:45 PM so there is still time for it to go up quite a bit.

Myspace is a valuble tool if you know how to use it.

End result: 90 bucks

Myspace is amazing. There are like 106 million users on it. If you use it correctly you can make alot of money!

You should atleast try and see how it goes

Sunday the day of my post above I ended up making 90.86 through google adsense. I seriously crapped my pants because that is the first time Ive made over 10 dollars from internet marketing of any sort.

so i went to myspace and just looked in the forums for a second. wow.

i mean, it's a real mess. i know people are making lots of money, but i think the majority of it is just going to be HUGE AMOUNTS of spam and God knows how many spam comments etc.

but again, i'm open to discussion...convince me!

In myspace i would NOT try to make money off of other "make money" programs.

Why? because myspace is loaded with teens that dont have debit/credit cards.
BUT despite their age they can still click adsense ads and give you money.

Make a website/blog(i use a blog because its free) about something lots of people on myspace like. Music, Skateboarding, Agressive Skating and load it up with adsense ads.

If you make a skateboarding blog, make a myspace account pretending youre a skateboarder and add nobody but skateboarders to your friends. Promote the site to your friends and maybe they will click some ads.

You can say my tactic is stupid but it made me 90 dollars in one day.
