msn building it's own ad program

I've just heard msn search are going to be using their own advertising system and doing away with overture ads.

They've contacted the company I work for and asked them to trial it out.

I wonder what they can offer that will better all the other advertising programmes out there.

As for the advantage, I'm not sure there is one. The only one I can think of would be to reach an audience that does not use Google.

I've heard that MSN users convert better than Google and Yahoo users.

There may be some truth to this, Antdizzle. Market research has pointed out that MSN users are usually more sophisticated and come from a higher income bracket.

    You just heard about this?

MSN has been leaking info on adcenter for about a year!

I can see only one advantage to MSN's PPC program, if you're listed in the top four ad placements on MSN, you are also shown in AOL's search engine.

This is not a new idea, before MSN had Adcenter, overture
(now Yahoo Search Marketing) results showed on MSN.COM!

It's hard to tell if the web is evolving, or inbreeding sometimes.

100% correct, its mainly down to the fact that the ads are the ones that your are actually looking for as well. Plus what the stealhy one mentioned
