    Marketing a Affiliate Program

My hosting business has been around for a few years and at the moment I really rely on referral from friendly designers because they tend to be better clients and pay much more regularly.

However now I am looking to expand my business. I have been doing CPC advertisement with Google and yahoo for quite a while, and the ROI is poor due to a variety of reasons.

I intend on scaling back my CPC efforts and going more along the lines of CPA. So my question is to you, how would you like to see the program marketed to you, what would make it a lucrative prospect.

ATM we are offering multiple payout types, flat rate and a recurring percentage. It seems most people go for the higher flat rate (which is good for me). The recurring percentage would net them more money over time, but instant gratification is a hard thing to fight.

I have been looking at many of third party companies to create campaigns through. Since many of you are involved in many different affiliate programs and have seen the goods and the bads of them, what do you all recommend? Should I use a 3party service or run my own script (a viable option). Is there a difference.

Also, in your opinions what would you be looking for when reviewing various programs? Would you go for the high one time payout or the lower recurring payout? Why?

Having a third party is nice because you get instant marketing through that company. It also lends credibility to your affiliate program. I almost always use cj.com or linkshare.com to find an affiliate program that I'm interested in marketing.

    passive income affiliates

I am in my 60's and am in the process of commencing affiliate programs one being on passive income. I would appreciate anyones help in getting started. It has taken several months to get this far and I would like to start earning some monies soon I'm told that it can produce some money if certain rules are followed. Those rules I am learning. You might be able to help here. Please tell me if I'm of track and give me some guidance. If I make an error it's not intentional but is due to lack of experiance. Have a look at what we've done so far (I hope that this is ok). I appreciate your listening and any help you might might be able give me. Well you'd have to pay more than the hosts already out there.

If you could pay more than Host Gator's $125 per sale, then I'd definately be interested.
