Is there really money in Affliate programs?

I don't mean to be mean or negative, but is
there really money in affliate programs, and how much can you make.
I need insight from those of you who are currently making
money in these programs.

no there isn't, unless you're serious about it (i.e. well financed, have killer team)

this is the same as saying that there isn't money in any business unless you're serious about it

great opportunities are those which are masterfully exploited

the same opportunity will be a disaster if it's executed badly

unless you know what you're doing, there is no money in marketing other people's stuff because you're gonna suck at it

There are people that are making nothing and there are people making millions. It is harder to break into existing industries, but can be done. If you look into some up and coming industries you can probably have a good chance of succeeding.

I've made as much money or more by selling via affiliate links as I have selling my own products. I think there are numerous advantages to advertising affiliate products instead of creating the product for yourself. You don't have to handle customer service, create the product, etc.

For instance, I sell websites on eBay. I could get a hosting reseller account with my hosting company, but instead I just refer people to the affiliate link and the hosting company does all of the work. Much easier for me.

Ya, there's a bunch of money to be made.

Dave from affiliateprograms.com posts here once in a while, look him up.

If you can command the traffic then there's lots of opportunities for you.

Some of the big sites earn £1.2m a year from them. But the type of sites me and you set up will earn £10-£200 per month.

There are many over sold affiliate promotions that are not really profitable. If you have your own mailing list, you can make good profits. If you find something very new and act fast with advertising it to proper market, you will make some good cash.

It really depends on you if you can earn or not..if you are serious about it then you can earn a lot..

Yes, thier is money to be made but it all depens on what u are marketing... Most of those get rich quick cash vault items are just cams but if you look below you will see some of the things i use except for my ebay ebook which is mine. but other than that those make me about 100 dollars every3-4 days of residual income because i have marketed right.

The simple answer is yes...

However there is alot of work and forethought..for one you've got to have an actual content, product/ service in your own site, to drive people to your site in order to take advantage of affiliate marketing.

Most networks including our own can drive traffic towards a website as well and provide campaigns to place on sites...in fact you can do both through the same company.

Some of the affiliates I've delt with can generate over £1000 profit per week from running our campaigns, granted these are the big players to tune of myspace or youtube, but even small affiliates can generate enough to leave their job, as many have done.

finding the right keywords
for my my site and i need
to know where i can go to build a
site. I really want to do this and
am willing to work hard
it's just that i don't know
WHERE to find the keywords
that are availiable. I want to
build a site for credit cards
and i also want to build a seperate
one for travel. can some one help!
