i try, but i just dont understand.

I guess ive always believe that making money required alot of work, and im not saying you guys dont do alot of work to make your money, but it just seems you all are doing it so easy.

well im ready to work hard.

but i dont understand how this works...at all...ive read and read and read, and visted most of your all's sites...but i still dont understand how you all make this money.

heres what i know...you need to make a site...but what kind of site, and how do you get income, i know adsense does not bring in that much, but how do you bring in 300+ monthly, i need very specific to the point answers...because i would really like to get into this, if anyone can IM for a one on one conversation it would be much appreciated.

Listen the main way you get a steady income is traffic. You need to find a way to bring a unique service/product to an audience and draw in a large crowd. The more people you bring in obviously means more business, but it also means more advertising income. Some sites see 10,000 dollars a week from one company to run their ad. If your asking for someone to send you a way to make 300 dollars a week by doing nothing, then dont be fooled. Think of a unique idea, come back, and find out how to make it work.

im not asking for the unique idea, i think i can come up with that, im simply asking how people do it...so let me see if i can get this straight, i make a site that has an edge, lets just say a blog site (i know everyone does these but lets say it has something differant to it) and i review differant products, and have affiliates setup with those, and if someone buys from my link basically i get cash...is that it? thats how ppl make all this money?

affilialtes/adsense is just a tiny portion of making money? There is alot of other things you can do.

    You say:
"im not asking for the unique idea, i think i can come up with that"
Why not come up with a unique idea then, and do it?

It sounds like you're looking for a quick way to make some money. I'm not saying blogging or content websites aren't a good way, but it's not as easy as it may seem. You must be pretty creative and create a site that you yourself would be interested in also. Have something unique on the website that will keep visitors coming back each day. Second, you must advertise really well and inexpensively. Talk to some other bloggers or website owners. Perhaps exchange links or have them mention your blog in theres, and visa versa.

    there's nothing easy about it

sucess is the result of hard work

if you want to spend 20hrs a week working on a blog so it can make you $300/month in revenue - there's little further advice I can give you

    Patience is a virtue:

Very true Akula. I think what you don't realize is all the failures/lessons it took to get successful. As long as your learning, who cares? Learn and improve.

Hard work is essential, but so is guidance. I strongly believe in mentors. If you don't have one, I'm sure you can find one here or the net. Stay persistent and you will succeed! I don’t want to sound cliché, but Thomas Edison failed over 1,000 times. His response,” I ran out of things that didn’t work” lol. If you ever need inspiration feel free to contact me and we could set something up over the phone. Sometimes being an entrepreneur is lonely, but look at the payoffs...Not talking about money, but the creation aspect. Celebrate each milestone, no matter how small, and do better.

Friend, if being an entrepreneur was easy, everyone would be doing it. Once in a while it's good to talk to a fellow entrepreneur... My friends are sick of my ideas! lol Keep going!
    Thanks,

    Hi,

Its about generating traffic to your site as mentioned, most networks offer this service, by getting other affilaites to drive traffic to your site, when you sign on as a merchant and give an offer, needless to say you will have to pay for this but the trade off is assuming you have a good product/service/site, you will gain repeat/return users who will then provide ou with the traffic you need to generate revenue from your advertising.

To add to the complexity, there are several different types of campaigns ou can choose to run, with posatives and negatives associated with each one.

PM me if you'd like to discuss this further.

    what is your time line?

How many months or years are you willing to work before your site brings in several hundred a month?

If you are not selling products, then all of your rev will come from ads it seems. You will need to have a site with great content, lots of traffic, and a target audience to get people to want to advertise directly with you. The same is true for getting google ad clicks on your site...after all how do you get people to your site to begin with to click on those links.

Making money online is easy...waiting for the money to start comming in is not always that easy.

It is hard work, no matter what you're doing. Even if you love what you're doing, it still requires 60+ hour weeks. Anybody who says its "easy" aren't making that much, or just got really really lucky.

turbocivic16, success may look easy, but it's not! Do you know how many times I've failed??? It's more than you think, believe me! And I'm still not successful (at least, I don't think so). So do not worry about failing. You have to fail before you can succeed! So just jump in and do it!!! What's the worst thing that could happen? Hmmm, maybe you lose some money? But you'll gain invaluable knowledge and experience. So give it a go!

For me personally, I think the biggest thing you need is patience (this can be made easier if you pick a topic that you are very interested in). Everyone wants to make tons of money instantly, and if it does not work after a few months they give up very quickly. Most of the time google won't even send you any decent traffic for several months, because for some strange reason google doesn't seem to like new sites. My site has been up now since March and I am only starting to make some money (which still is peanuts compared to the amount of time I have put into the site). If you really want to learn a great thing to do would be to get a mentor. Offer to help them with their site for free or maybe even a small compensation, if they are willing to teach you what is needed to succeed. If you get a good person, not only will you learn more than you could teach yourself in 6 months, but you will also have made a great contact that you can work with later as you grow in the online industry.

With regards to spending lots of time reading online. I do the same thing, but a lot of the stuff that I used to skip over quickly is now some of the most important subjects that I spend most of my time on, such as SEO and link building.

One of the best sites that I have found recently for learning new things is digital point (http://forums.digitalpoint.com).

Anyway, good luck and keep at it!
