How to make this site work?

I am an ebay expert looking to branch out into running my own sites instead, and this was my first crack at it. Online guide to getting a free iPhone! - Home

Basically i tried to design it the same way as an affiliate site, only instead of affiliate products I am trying to get people to sign up with the freebie site and become a referral (basically same thing). I made thousands of dollars working with these freebie sites through marketing on ebay, but ebay has cracked down on that. I think the site is a good idea, but I have not had any success. How should I market a site like this, and how can I make it successful? I tried to think of a way to get ebay traffic to an auction and redirect to the site, but not sure exactly how. Any imput would be appreciated, especially if you are familiar with what I am doing. Sorry if the site is a bit low quality, it was my first site and I don't know much about webpage design. Thanks

amcmill2, have you ever played with phpbay? It is a pretty nice script you can purchase for $39.00. Just google it, you can create your own wordpress and call the phpbay function in your post and it will bring up items you specify in your function call! Try it out. It sets a 7 day cookie on the clients machine if they look at an item that way if they end up purchasing it in say 6 days, you get 50% of what ebay makes off of it.

trying to get people to sign up with? advertise it on ad sites and promote it to your target market. Offer them the service they want. By the way, maybe you can add more content to your site like articles and so on..

Is it just me, or was anyone else thinking that the online guide to getting a free iphone was going to be a youtube video of someone getting mugged as they walked out of an Apple store?

I tryed Google adSense for advertising my website, but I was not very happy with the results I got. I also tried email advertising on different newworks and it seemed to me that taketheinternetback.com ads results were a little bit better in terms of generated visits and conversion. Do you happen to know a more appropriate way of advertising for websites in the travel domain websites (like mine)?

Google adwords can be a great way to promote your site. However it takes a lot of tracking and trial and error to keep the campaigns fresh and competitive. I also agree that CJ.com is one of the best affiliate/publisher sites around.
