How much profit from Affiliate Marketing?

Im starting to ease into affiliate marketing. One of the reviews on my RedTag Blog is a clickbank referral. I havent sold anything, but Ive only had clickbank for a few days. How much, on average, do you make a week from affiliate marketing? How much do you spend on advertising and what advertising programs do you use? Can you make money using affiliate programs without paying for clicks? I appreciate all input. Thanks!

    $1,000
    $2,000 (Azoogle, Copeac, Millnic)
Yes, sometimes websites that don't do well with adsense or other things can do really well with a targeted affiliate offer.

Your Redtags blog is basically referring others to the products sales page. There is no value for your readers.

Internet marketing has evolve so much that these methods doesn't work anymore.

Readers do not just want to read about product recommendation. Did you personally used those products? Tell a story about those products.

Your posting is not interesting enough for me to click those affiliate links.

Skyjoe - Then what do viewers want to see. What will make them click the links?

My best recommendation is to pick your affiliate programs wisely. I have two affiliates who have both sent me 30 clients, one made $2000 flat rate for the sales, the other makes $250/month for as long as the clients stay with me, and he has vastly surpassed the person who took the flat fee. Take the time do the work, and wait for the money

what is the proven way to make money through affiliate marketing. A website deicated to a certain product? or just Adsense to Your Referral Link? Should I buy an program from the internet that "makes money for me while I sleep?" or are all online programs scams. What about the rich jerk?

If there was a proven 100% way to make money, wouldn't everyone do it? Find some offers you think might convert well (blockbuster, secret book club) make a landing page (a few sentences/paragraphs hyping/explaining the offer) and THAT'S where you send the traffic.

I agree with cswolf, that's a perfect way to get in on the affiliate marketing bandwagon.

Affiliate Marketing is great. I have been doing it for just over 6 years now and have been doing it as a full time job for just over 3-4 years.

It is not easy, but you can definately earn enough to get a full time income and if you do everything right then there are people that do become millionnaires from doing it.
