got paid for adsense with no clickS?

just looked at my adsense earnings, and i have no clicks, but 100 odd page impressions with $0.01 earnings for today? i thought they paid solely on clicks?

I believe there is a certain type of add that Google adsense provides that pays per certain number of impressions, rather than just per click. I read this once on the Adsence site, but now I can't seem to find it. Can anyone back me up here?

The way you generate earnings will depend on the type of ads which have been displayed on your site. You can receive earnings for valid clicks on cost-per-click (CPC) ads and valid impressions on cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) ads. Please keep in mind that CPC ads will appear by default, and CPM ads will only appear if an advertiser has bid to run ads on your site through site-targeting. At this time, it’s not possible to request CPM ads for your site or set your account to be paid only on a per impression basis.

but noone has signed up to set ads on my site on a cpm method?

Look at your ads - if you see one large ad filling the entire unit (instead of 4 or however many), that is a CPM ad.

I don't believe there is anywhere that explicity tells you your site has been targeted.

no i know, but im basing it on the fact that i put the site up without a domain name yesterday, and it has already happened! without any advertising or anything aswel!

How does that not violate any rules? If you click on your own ads your are in deep trouble. If you just want to look at your website and you are getting paid per view, wouldn't that be like clicking on your own ad?

thats very true.. maybe its because its near impossible to stop people racking up page views on their own, and i bet they have systems in place to realise if you are the owner, by your ip address and not include those page views.

This is interesting, I have had a few of the 1c days without clicks. I am up to the giddy heights of almost $10 now, maybe one day it will cover the cost of my own CPC campaigns.

i am with adbrite, and out of 3000 impressions have only gotten 2 clicks the rest have been CPM avg. 3 cents a day.

In a month I have earned $1.26 YAY!
