    Gaining a Readerbase

Does anyone here know how to gain a huge readership base for a blog? I am trying to gain readers for my blog but with the SPECIFIC niche, its kind of hard.

My blog is geared towards money making and management for teens. That gives me 2 niche's, teens and money managing. Only issue is though I can't find no good sites to "network" with. I was looking for just blogs and forums that catered these 2 niche's but I need some serious help on how to market my blog.

Help me out if you can...

This is the best way... exactly what you're doing now! Just network with other blogs in a similar niche. If there aren';t many... expand to other niche;s where teens tread.

kind of old topic but have you submitted your site to technorati and have you got a RSS feed from feedburner yet? Also do you ping your site every time you update?

regular content is key. and add your blog to mybloglog, and add their widget onto your blog (see my blog for example).

One thing I have been trying is to visit popular blogs and commenting their posts, and trying to get into their "top commentors" section.

    YS,

Content is king, my friend. If you don't have good, quality content, then all the marketing and promotion won't matter if there isn't good content being posted on your blog.

Secondly, you have to post on a consistent basis. I see many new blogs out there that start out great, posting at least once per day. Then about after a month or so, there are significant "hiccups" in their posting - days and weeks without posting. Viewers don't like that so they avoid your site.

Thirdly, you have to keep the momentum. It's a little known fact that most blogs [85-90%] do not survive more than 3 months because the author eventually stops posting altogether.

Here's a little video where John Chow [one of the leading blogs out there] explains it: Top Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

Old topic but I will definitely check it out as well myself. I'll look into it a little bit when I get home.

I kind of fell off of it because I have so many ideas and I've been busy looking for website jobs lately. So anyway, I may update it in the future... we'll see.
