Brutally Critique This Site (rip it up)

Hi guys, I'm looking for a no punches pulled, rip me apart, tell it like it is review of my website.

If it sucks... tell me how much it sucks and why.

What would you have done if you were the creator?

The site looks good. However, I think the font may be too big and I would blend the pictures of books with the background.

Not a fan of the bland layout and colors.

lol no true web designer would be a fan of affiliate type web designs.

I could make it much more fancy, but I was going for what my average customers are used to seeing. Just an explanation not downgrading your opinions. Which I value greatly.

So what was it that stopped you guys from entering...thats the question I really need answered. (I want answers more then entries right now anyway)

Well it started out funny, and it is very bright.
It looks like those other sites where people try to show you how they made it.
And it sounds almost like LOTTo.
But I will be there to look at it some more.

ACN is a very good company if I were to get back into Network Marketing...that would be one of my first options. Currently affiliate marketing is working for me very well and is only 10% of the work.

Anyone looking for great training, products that sell themselves, and reliable company to work for and build a business with should try out ACN.

sry accidently hit the button twice...wow weird coincendence that I hit the button 2 times and that got my posts # to 222

I always have weird coincedences around this number last time was on feb. 22 (02/22) time before that was 2:22pm

I know this is funky and out there...but kinda weird, I swear this number means something to me, I dunno what yet.

Or maybe I just dropped to much acid in a past life..lol

Well, there is use of informal slang words, like "OMG" and "lotta" and "i'm just kidding". The brights and large fonts do not look very convincing to me, either. I suggest you go for something more subtle, something that would appeal to the eye of any average client, something that would attract your eye and draw you in. However, it's a good thing that you actually started by trying to appeal to the customer, but... what's an opt-in list?

Actually, the site layout is not that bad. I think that you just have to eliminate the slang words, and maybe explain things more thoroughly without saying that "it's like magic, and one day you wake up and you get the mail that will make you lots of cash". By explaining how it actually works and getting everyone to understand it, I guarantee that your business will be a huge success.

    Critique of your site

I have to agree. the font sizes used seem to be overwhelming. the wording is not professional at all. I did not enter this site because it screams scam to me.

You criticized your readers on this page where you said "we run a filter to scrub...I swear I have said this three times above. I still get asked everyday"
That simply tells me that you are not going to be open to me e-mailing you about this at all and turns me off. That would keep me from ever considering doing business with you.

You also have no contact information available, nothing about your business, nothing to let people know you are a professional, credible, business person. Who are you. What made you come up with this simple, yet cool idea? testimonials from list winners would also be good. how did the list work for them? how many did they convert? how many opted out of their e-mails.

Now, What I did Like, your color schemes are catching to me. I also liked the way you laid out the bonus gifts. I would however scale down the image size a little bit and put a description of each product under its headline. Also specify What exactly these are, what bells and whistles come with them and what they can do for you. I was also confused about how you get these. Do you win them with the list or do you get them for entering.

I would also wonder about putting the information about being spammed. it gives me the impression that the list you are giving away is simply those that are signing up for the raffle. From what I can gather most people are very loyal to the programs they are already a part of. It is these people that are going to be looking to find lists. They want to sell to people, not be sold to. I would leave that information to your terms and conditions page.

If the tools that are featured are for signing up for the list to be raffled then list it that way. You will get people that want the toolkits and information that are new and still able to be sold on new prospects. List them as free gifts for signing up for the lead list. Plus you are increasing the viability of your lead prospects. Possibly consider two lists, one where visitors sign up to get the bonuses and be a part of the raffled list, and one for those who want to win a lead list (You could always merge both lists for the raffled list. I would consider listing who accepted the freebies so you know who to start with on the list. after all, viable leads mean people who want to be sold to! Make it clear on your site how the list is generated. If I was still looking for the best business opportunity I would sign up in a heart beat.

I think that you are on the right track. I am very new to network marketing and honestly I might be willing to put up with the spam for signing up if your bonus gifts have some real content that would help me put some momentum in my business. Let me know by e-mailing me at byeutter@kc.rr.com

I hope this feedback helps you out. Also if you would like to further this discussion feel free to e-mail me. Put Young Entreprenuers in the subject line so I don't accidentally delete your mail.

    Your freind in success,

    from the start

From the start the whole site turns me off, the color, the font the layout. It looks cheap and it looks like a rush job. These are the same type off sights i see each day and it looks as if you are trying to scam someone or sell! an affiliate program is all about PREselling not SELLING, makeing reccomendations, not forcing someone to buy something. I do think you can do alot better starting with less color and a smaller font.

Okay I liked it but I hardly read any thing, maybe because I was looking to critique it .

Once I reached the bottom and I saw the lead capture I had to ask myself for a sec -what bonuses?- then I remembered the resell rights things. You need to put the lead capture form more to the top near to the bonuses just incase people dont scroll all the way down.

The font could be a little smaller and if you don't mind could you please lose the blue background. White never hurt no - one. People wont even know that a back ground exist if you use white.

Oh and there is too much space in the middle where you have the resell right s packages. A brief description of each product would be good maybe you could use bullets.

Really its good but font size, lead capture position, background colour and space - those four.

Wow thanx guys! I love getting opinions. I am currently busy with another project as I cycle my projects monthly for maintenence, updates, blah blah blah. I will soon be getting back to it. I also asked for critiques on 4 other forums so I have a lot of great advice to implement. Thanks again.
