Forum posting brings the fastest direct result. It would be most important, in my opinion --- especially if you're operating on a tight budget.

The problem with this is finding forums to post in and then forming a relationship with the forum (basically post a bit here and there). I have thought about forum posting (because of tight budget) but it is so hard to post to forums without being considered a spammer.

It takes time --- you just have to be patient, that's all. Plus, there's something called a signature that makes promotion a snap. If you don't know what I mean, let me know and I'll explain.

Yeah I do add a signature to all the forums I am signed up and I am not sure how much traffic I get from it. But I am sure it helps.

Definitely helps - especially over time. I know it's hard to hang in there (I have about as little patience as anyone in the world! ), but the returns will come.

Of course, you could always read my article Forum Profits: How To Make Money From Forum Traffic.

Also, you have to have a way to track your visitors.

Otherwise, how do you know where they're coming from and what pages they're visiting on your website.

    This is vital information.

    You can't succeed without it.

I know there are some decent free press release sites out there as well, don't be fooled into thinking a press release means paying a lot of money.

I've seen a list of some good, free press release sites, can't remember them off the top of my head. Anyone know any?

    Now systematize those efforts

All Ten of those methods are winners. Although I admit I do very little Email Marketing(fighting with filters or being labeled a spammer is to negative). Forums and Blogs work like Wildfire. If the budget is there then some very selective traffic generators like spinsubmit do a nice job(that costs about $200).

The real trick is to find a way to systematically attract traffic via something like Free education without actually just list-building. That is what some of the new funded proposals are managing to do. Ah the penny drops.... I am a founding member of just such a free program and the success we are having is beyond very cool.

By the way I checked out Dale's Link(see forum marketing does work) and that looks like a great storehouse of info. I bookmarked for another look soon!

Anytime Dale. I'm in a tizzy today because we introduced a top earner in an MLM who is introducing our marketing to a downline of 5000. So the VIP email does have some benefits apparently.

I get a lot of hits just from my signature on here and other forums. I assume I get some ad clicks too from the people that visit from here as well. I'm making money by having DuctFuct.com in my sig. So for me, it's been forum posting...but I really havent pursued the other options yet.

solomonsmine - you might want to change your sig link to be a clickable link.

The list is good, which would you say people should focus on the most? What is your opinion about which option will get the most hits/sales? Just a question i would like to know the answer from your experiance.
