Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to practice basic business principles. I have been doing it seriously for just less than two years now, and have found it to be an excellent way to make some extra money here at college while some of my other friends have to get jobs.

I am not really sure about the future of the affiliate marketing industry though. I do think that a lot of it will be impacted by the recent FCC rulings though. Also, I think that if you want to be successful in the affiliate marketing industry in the future, you need to be fairly creative and always thinking about how to improve, innovate, and make conversions happen.

Just a tip for you. Affiliate marketing is not a business that you can get rich overnight as claimed by some of the business opportunity ads out there. I'm sure you know this but I just want to make it clear.

Affiliate marketing will definitely continue to grow as more and more people are moving their shopping activities online. In order to get started, you will not only need to find a topic that you are interested in, you need to also make sure that there's money in the topic.

Imagine sending people to a website and receiving a commission for every sale that occurs.

Imagine having someone else dealing with customer support queries and customer service.

Imagine that person doing all the initial preparation work, ensuring quality and maximising profitability.


The future of affiliate marketing is highly competitive and only those who are tracking their results and changing their strategies accordingly will succeed.

You have to be unique & a good writing skills.

You can use a variety of skills in affiliate marketing.

You can write articles, make videos or create websites.

The possibilities really are vast.


One of my affiliate businesses ran itself entirely of it's own accord.

It brought in continuous residual income without the need for writing anything.


I gave it away to a friend and it still makes a continuous residual stream of money to this day.
