The thing is there is no "best" way to advertise. If this were the case, everyone would only use the "best" method and the rest would starve.

You should look at your budget first, and from there determine a plan of action based on your target audience and your goals.

Everyone has different goals for thier advertising, and that also will help you determine your vehicle.

What are the exact results your looking for? and in what time frame? What type of follow up do you have planned?

THE WAY you advertise in each of those vehicles have different methodologies to increase results.

Many businesses advertise the right places, but in the WRONG way!

In the newspapers would you do classified or display? Do you know the techniques necessary to make them effective? (they both are different)

Just some things to think about, as the answer to your question requires more than picking just one. (i voted for them all )

I know they are all good thats why I'm doing them all but what is the best bang for your buck it cost $1000 to get SEO'ed PPC is about $1000 newspaper is abot $50 a month but for the prices you should start with one first is it better to Press Release first ppc first in what order are you to do these things? one has to help the other...

I agree with iGrowyourbiz in a lot of things he said. I use Adwords which has worked well for the money but has not done as well as I would like, probably user error. The best traffic that I have ever recieved was from articles written by larger sites that involved or linked to my site in some way. If I was to have a larger budget I would donate to or pay larger sites to write about or include my site in articles.

I also wanted to add that the most traffic I have recieved was from free advertising. My site got linked at stumbleupon.com and has received large amounts of traffic from that alone.

The best way is ''word of mouth'' in my opinion becuase, 1 its free and 2 as its been passed onto a person they are more likely to spend time on your site etc and tell someone else and then it gets passed on and on

But thats only one method, now if you do multiple methods then you have a chance of generating high traffic volumes

Definately word of mouth. As long as you have a desirable product or site, WOM will do the job for you. Take google for example.
