    Advertising affiliate links

I'm not going to get specific on exactly the affiliate program[s] I'm referring to here, but I do want to begin launching some things:

Newspaper ads? Not containing my referral link, only using a .com to forward the visitor there

    Paying for adspace on sites?

How about utilizing high PR directories?

Utilizing the banners the affiliate program has available?

Is this a good strategy? Some high payouts, so yeah, I see alot of potential here. I don't have to worry about maintaining a website, only to get people to signup under my link, and that comes up to bringing them business.

Any advice? If anyone is interested in joining me, you may email me. We can come together to create some great campaigns, and we can pool in the money. Advice is *extremely* appreciated! I'm ready to get started right now, I just don't want to fall into a google adwords pit of unproductive clicks. Thanks!

On a side note - Can one create a lucrative business in advertising for affiliate programs? Is there business potential? Can I start a business on the concept, or is it a one-guy type of thing?

Newspaper ads in my opinion look very credible to the isolated eye.
This could get you a new demographic you may not thought was possible, and its inexpensive.

I don't know about newspaper ads in your town, but mine are expensive! It would be worth a test run though.
