    Adsense- Can you make money

    Hey guys,

I was just reading about google adsense. Does anyone know if it can be profitable if you have a popular website? I was just wondering if you can really make anything from it.

you can make money from anything if your website is really popular. The problem isn't the way you make money usually, its how popular your website needs to be and getting it to that point.

Adsense can make you money, but don't expect anything too great starting out. Probably just to cover your business expenses you probably need about 1 million visitors a month. Obviously it doesn't just rely on visitors, a portion of them have to click on the ads of course; but 1 million is a good goal to work towards and should on average produce a little bit of revenue depending on how well your ads are placed.

Making money online through just advertising is way overrated; its not as easy as it use to be.

Adsense can be good for a purely information based website, but if it's a commercial site, they make you look cheap.

Indeed adds can destroy the visual effect of a website. Just curious. Thanks also to MpyreDzirez.

I am a true CPM banner guy. I want every hit(page view) to be counted and I want to be paid for it!

As I was discussing in a seperate topic, and as someone above said... its quite ridulous how saturated the blog and adsense niche is these days. I believe that creative ideas should be implemented on side of the blog and adsense.

My case: I am going to still start my youth entrepreneur blog w/ adsense... but I am thinking of some creative ways of making money without charging people to access the content, the content will be free for all and will likely stay that way, but I am sure going to think of some ways that can reward the readers AND myself and help the advertisers in the end.

Either way, we'll see what ideas I can come up with, I've got a few already so once I've got them implemented into the final site, I will tell everyone and I would like some response and possibly see if it begins to adapt to all other forms of blogs.

As it was said above (and said best at that): Makiney money through online advertising is a bit overrated.

Adsense is a nice compliment to a site, but I wouldnt depend on it too much...

Affiliate marketing is a 6 billion dollar industry - I am getting my piece.

    1. It's profitable when you have a 'popular information website' .
    2. The site must not engage on e-commerce..
    3. It must be purely informational page.

If the reader does not find any interesting topic at all or they want to purchase a certain product after reading your contents...
they must land on website they like by putting adsense and not clicking the back button of the browser; instead putting adsense for them to click and you'll have the money for the bid per click.

Yes you can make money with Adsense like you can make money with other systems like Bidvertiser, Adsung.com, YPN

However, it all depends on the type of site you have (not a good idea to have them on a e-commerce site for instance) and the areas where you place your ads.

If your a high traffic site your better off using CPM ads with a million visits a month you could make $2,000 dollars a month based on a $2.00 CPM
