Hi Guys,

Just after some general advice please.

I have a digital download product to sell, and am very interested in the possiblity of mass emailing to people who have 'opted in' to recieve information about a particular service or product (in my case mp3 download)

I have searched the net and found a few people offering to do this for me, using their own targeted mailing lists.

I just wanted to know, has anybody used any of these companies, and if so, how did it work out for you?

Or would you advise me to avoid them at all costs as scams (I am aware that emailtheworld.biz is most likely a scam)

I wouldn't bother buying someone else's list, most probably spam, or too costly. Use your own optin list for best results.

It could work. I have seen some people use other people's list with success, but it depends on the nature of the list. Buying a list from a company I wouldn't expect too much success. Maybe .05% of the people will actually read your email and then about 2-3% will buy.

Ask the company how they deliver the email, or ask to be put on their list. If they can get your email into people's inboxs (vs. junk mail) then it may work.

Try making a intro product with maybe the first chapter of your digital delivery product and capture email addresses that way.
