actually not. If google finds out that friends and associates are clicking on his ads, his account could get banned.
I have heard that happening to many people so I would say that even if you had clicked on his ads better not do it again and even more important . dont announce it on a public forum.

Google may be watching.

Thats a good idea. I would experiment with things so that you see what works and what doesn't especially since you will be selling your site soon.
